First time in Shanghai? Lets make your first few hours useful and leave time to enjoy the city.
I'll meet you at your hotel or an agreed location in central Shanghai for a 3-hour introduction to getting around.
We can explore a neighborhood, stop for something to eat, and work through the things you'll need for the rest of your trip.
Depending on your needs, we can:
- Review your itinerary and spot issues
- Try maps, public transport, mobile payments, and food ordering on your phone
- Understand Chinese menus, booking pages, and app messages
- Work through problems together and look for alternatives
- Explore places that match your interests
You'll use your own phone, so you get more comfortable doing things yourself.
Included: a brief pre-meetup discussion, 3 hours together, and a short follow-up checklist with useful notes from our time together.

Can I book for my family?
Yes! Families are welcome. The package covers up to 4 people traveling together, including children. Please share your group size, children’s ages, and any walking or accessibility needs before booking so we can plan a suitable route.
Should I contact you before booking?
Yes, please message me before booking the Standard or Premium package. Share your travel dates, group size, hotel area, and what you’d like help with so we can confirm availability and make the most of our time.
What if I haven't planned my trip yet?
That’s fine! Tell me your dates, interests, and any ideas you already have. During the Standard call, we can outline up to 3 days in Shanghai. You’ll receive a practical checklist to help you continue planning.
Are transport, meals, and tickets included?
The package price covers my time and the assistance described. Transport, meals, and admission tickets are separate. Car rides and airport transfers are not included.
What if my travel / payment apps not working?
I’ll help you understand the problem, speak with staff where needed, and look for another way to get things done. We’ll test everyday tasks on your own phone and note what works for you. I can’t control account approvals or guarantee every app will work, but I can help you work out what to try next.
What happens during the in-person session?
We’ll agree on a route in central Shanghai based on your interests and needs. We might try the metro, order a meal, use a map app, or explore a neighborhood. The session lasts 3 hours, with time for breaks.
