Widely regarded as among the top rock guitarists in the world, Mitch Perry has played with everyone from Graham Nash and Heaven to Michael Schenker, Edgar Winter, Lita Ford, Ratt and countless others. He is featured on more than 60 albums, including the multi-platinum, Aerosmith’s Classics Live, where he actually plays keyboards. Mitch has toured with superstars such as Cher, Edgar Winter, Sweet, Asia and Yazawa to name a few. He currently tours with Sweet and his own band The Mitch Perry Group who's award winning album "Music Box' was released to critical acclaim in May of 2020.
FAQ
Do I need a guitar?
Yes. I can work with you on acoustic or electric. I do have a preference for advancing playing techniques. We will discuss all this during your lesson. That being said, you will enhance your playing and ear with acoustic or electric.
Do I need to know how to play?
I work with any level player.
Do I need to take all my lessons in 3 days?
You and I will come up with a lesson schedule that works for you and can be spaced out over several weeks. Some players study once a week, some twice. It really depends on your needs.
Do I need an amp?
No you don't. I have specific reasons for this which we will get into during your lesson.
Do I need to know how to read music?
Reading music is a great skill to have but not required. There is a very clear line between reading and playing which will also be covered during your session.
What if I have to cancel a session?
If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, I ask for 24 hours notice and will reschedule you at a time that works for both of us.
What styles do you teach?
I have played everything and can work with you on most any style that interests you.
Can I work on original material during my lesson?
I can certainly help you as far as playing but please see my other gigs for help crafting songs.
Can I work on specific cover songs, riffs etc. ?
As long as you let me know ahead of time what you would like to work on, I can accommodate your requests.
