Taught courses in many different subject areas, but mainly software development, game design and game development. - Introduction to game programming courses: teaching the foundations of programming in C#, working up from very minimal frameworks to game engines. - Digital prototyping: this course focuses on rapid prototype development, and leans on a faux "studio environment", so students can understand how stand-up calls, pull requests, and other industry standard collaboration techniques work. - Game systems programming: starting with the fundamentals of Tetris, and working up to modular systems, event driven programming, and finite state machines, this course levels students up to an informed systems approach on game design and development. - Java and C# programming. All of my game development and contract activities go through my company, Michael Jared Software Inc. I do a mix of working on paid contracts, open source development, as well as working on my own passion projects. - Software contracting in games and games adjacent fields.
