FAQ
What file or data do I need to provide?
You can share your data in any format — Excel, CSV, SQL database, Google Sheets, SharePoint, or a live API. Please send a sample before ordering so I can confirm compatibility.
Do I need a Power BI Pro licence?
For the free Power BI Desktop file (.pbix), no licence is needed. To publish and share reports in Power BI Service (online), a Pro or Premium Per User licence is required — I can advise on this.
Will you update the dashboard after delivery?
Revisions within the agreed scope are included. For ongoing maintenance or new features after delivery, please contact me for a custom offer.
Can you connect to live databases like SQL Server?
Yes. I can connect Power BI to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Azure, Google Sheets, SharePoint and more. For live connections, cloud gateway setup may be required (available as a gig extra).
Will I receive the .pbix source file?
By default I deliver the finished .pbix file. If your data is confidential, I can deliver screenshots or a shared Power BI Service link instead. The source file add-on ensures full ownership.
Can you match our company brand / color theme?
Absolutely. Share your brand colors, logo, and any style guide and I'll apply them to every visual in the dashboard.
