FAQ
What is the difference between dispatch software and a TMS?
Dispatch software focuses on assigning loads to drivers and managing trips. A TMS covers the wider operation, including customers, carriers, documents, invoicing, and reporting. I can build either or combine both.
Who is this gig for?
Trucking companies, dispatch services, freight brokers, and logistics businesses that want to replace spreadsheets or outdated tools with one system.
Can I manage loads and drivers in one place?
Yes. You create a load, assign a driver, follow the trip through each stage, and store the documents and invoice on the same record.
Does the software handle documents and invoices?
Yes. Your team can upload BOL, POD, and rate confirmations, then generate invoices tied to each load, with payment status and export to PDF.
Can drivers use the system?
Yes. Drivers get their own login to see assigned loads, update status, and upload delivery documents from a phone browser or a dedicated mobile app if you need one.
Do you connect to load boards?
I can add a module for posting loads and receiving bookings, or integrate with a load board API you already use. If you need a full load board platform, please see my dedicated load board gig.
Can you integrate accounting or other tools?
Yes. I can connect Quick Books, payment gateways, email and SMS services, or your existing systems through API s. Share what you use and I will confirm feasibility.
What technology do you use?
I choose the stack based on your needs and budget, commonly React, Node.js, or Laravel with a secure database. I will explain the choices before starting.
Can you improve or extend my existing dispatch system?
Yes. Share access or documentation and I will review it first, then recommend whether to extend it or rebuild specific parts.
