About me
Arena Fide Master - Peak 1857 rapid on chess com, peak 2129 rapid on Lichess, 1570 FIDE. OTB tournament experience in classical and rapid.
Over 3 years of chess coaching experience. Longterm coach for an elementary afterschool club, longtime online coach for adults and children at the beginner and amateur level.
I teach with particular attention to solid, fundamental principles and guiding students through tactical motifs.
In my spare time I practice Brazilian jiu jitsu (brown belt), perform as a professional wrestler (with a chess themed gimmick!), and also play tons of chess (obviously!)

Ashley is a great coach! He communicated well prior to the lesson and let me know what to expect. He came prepared with some puzzles that were a good launching off point for our discussion, and we played a game to further give him an idea of where I needed work. Highly recommended!

Ash is an amazing chess coach! He explains everything in an extremely easy-to-understand manner and caters for everything from very beginner level to intermediate to advanced. Ash was able to identify my key short falls using the initial trial lesson which has already improved my game by a large amount. His knowledge of the game is invaluable
