I will build a custom mcp server connecting claude to your api or database

About this gig
Connect Claude, Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP-compatible AI app to your own API, database or internal tools, safely.
I build custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers in Python or TypeScript that give your AI assistant exactly the access it needs, and nothing more.
WHAT YOU GET
- Custom MCP tools designed around the questions and tasks you actually need
- Connections to REST APIs, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Supabase or SaaS tools
- Read-only access by default, with scoped credentials
- Write actions only on request, with a confirmation step
- Local setup for your team or a hosted server with authentication (Premium)
- Request logging, so you can see every call the AI makes
- Automated tests, a README and a tool design document
WHY THIS GIG
Most MCP gigs just make it work. I design it so it's safe to leave running: least-privilege access, clear tool boundaries and logs you can audit.
You own all the code and credentials. I recommend a test or read-only account while I build.
Not sure what you need? Message me the system you want to connect and 3 questions you want your AI to answer.

FAQ
What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI apps use outside tools and data. An MCP server is the bridge between your AI assistant and your system, exposing only the actions you approve.
Which AI apps will it work with?
Any MCP-compatible client, including Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor. Tell me which ones your team uses and I'll test with those.
Python or TypeScript?
Either. I match your team's stack so you can maintain the code yourself. No preference? I'll recommend one based on your system.
Is my data safe?
Tools are read-only by default and use credentials limited to what each tool needs. Every call is logged. Write actions are only added if you ask, with a confirmation step.
Do you need access to my production system?
Ideally not. A test environment, a read-only database user or a scoped API key is best. I recommend rotating any keys you shared once the order is complete.
Can the AI change data, not just read it?
Yes, as an extra. Each write tool is limited to one clear action, validates its inputs and asks for confirmation before running.
Local or hosted, what's the difference?
A local server runs on each user's machine, which is simple for small teams. A hosted server runs on your cloud with authentication, so your whole team connects to one place (Premium).
Is there already an MCP server for my tool?
Many popular tools have official servers. The Basic package sets those up and tests them. If yours doesn't, Standard builds a custom one.
Who owns the code?
You do, fully. You get the complete source code, tests and documentation with the delivery.
What if my API changes later?
Small fixes within 7 days of delivery are free. After that, I offer monthly support or a custom offer for updates.
