Founder and lead software engineer at Stackware, a UK software company specialising in Qt, C++, embedded and HMI (human-machine interface) development. I build production-grade desktop, mobile and embedded applications for clients across manufacturing, medical, automotive, retail and IoT. My work covers the full journey: taking a requirement (however rough), designing the interface, developing the frontend in Qt and QML, building and integrating the backend, and delivering tested, documented, production-ready software with full source code. Areas of focus include industrial HMI development and the modernisation of dated interfaces, embedded and connected products (bridging hardware and software), Qt for WebAssembly (delivering desktop-grade applications through the browser with no installation), and IoT systems connecting devices, sensors and control systems. Recent projects include a complete smart parcel locker system built end to end (hardware, kiosk interface and mobile app with live tracking), a real-time 3D printer control interface built in Qt, and interface software for medical and automotive products. I work as one accountable team from first conversation to final delivery, with a focus on clear communication, reliability, and software that does exactly what the client needs.
