Blockbench Game Asset Modelling
Sep 2026 - Present • 1 mo
I worked on Minecraft style tool and asset modelling in Blockbench, translating object concepts and visual references into block-based designs. I focused on establishing each tool's overall shape and proportions before refining the smaller features that helped define its appearance. I paid attention to the shape of the handle, the structure of the main component, and how these features worked together to create a recognizable Minecraft style tool. When working from references, I used them to guide the model's structure and important details while considering how best to recreate the intended design using Blockbench's modelling tools. Throughout the process, I focused on maintaining the block-based aesthetic, balancing visual detail with simplicity so that the finished models remained clear, cohesive, and recognizable.
Webnovel Cover Design
Aug 2026 - Present • 2 mos
I worked on webnovel cover designs, translating story concepts and character ideas into visual compositions that reflected the mood and genre of each story. I considered how character placement, colour choices, and the overall arrangement could communicate the story's atmosphere while drawing attention to its main subject. I paid close attention to visual hierarchy, ensuring that the main character and other important design elements stood out without making the composition feel cluttered. When typography was part of the project, I considered how the title could fit naturally into the design while remaining clear and readable. Throughout the process, I focused on making each cover feel connected to the story it represented, refining the composition until the characters, colours, and other visual elements worked together as a cohesive design.
Blockbench Character Modelling
Jun 2026 - Present • 4 mos
I worked on character models in Blockbench, translating the character concepts and visual references into block based designs. I focused on establishing the main shapes and proportions first before refining details such as the head, body, clothing, and other features that helped define each character's identity. I paid close attention to how the individual parts fitted together to maintain consistent proportions and a recognizable Minecraft style. Throughout the modelling process, I considered the size, placement, and shape of each element, ensuring that every detail contributed to the overall design rather than making the model unnecessarily complicated. I used the client's references as a guide and gradually refined the different components until they worked together as a cohesive character model.
