I am an infrastructure engineer at a cloud hosting provider and I run this exact watchdog at home. You get the same setup, tuned for your house.
WHAT I CHECK
- Router: encryption mode (WPA2 or WPA3), default admin password, WPS, UPnP, remote admin, firmware
- Exposure: what the internet can see of your home, port by port
- Devices: every phone, TV, camera and plug on the Wi-Fi, named, so the stranger stands out

HOW IT WORKS
Send me your router model and ISP. For the watchdog I use a Raspberry Pi or any small Linux box on your network. Nothing leaves your home except the alerts. I only read; nothing changes without your OK.

FAQ
Do I need to buy anything?
For the audit and hardening, no. For the permanent watchdog you need one small always-on box on your network: a Raspberry Pi (about 60 dollars) or any old laptop or mini PC running Linux. I can recommend one.
Can you do this remotely?
Yes. We do a short screen-share call for the router settings, and the watchdog is set up over a secure remote link. You keep all your passwords; I never store them.
Will it slow my internet or break my devices?
No. The checks only read. Router changes are made with you on the call, one at a time, and I explain each one before it is applied.
What if someone is on my Wi-Fi right now?
Message me first. In the audit I show you every device on the network. We remove the stranger, switch to a strong password, and the watchdog tells you the moment anyone new joins.
