Trans-Tasman Business Circle is an Australia-based business consulting company that organizes events for clients — things like bespoke public programs and study tours — across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. On the data analytics side, I worked with their CRM, which was HubSpot, and did a lot of data-related work there. On the research side, my job was to build target lists for their events. For each event, I had to understand what the event's theme was — say, technology, retail, or risk — and then research the kind of companies and people who would actually be relevant to that theme. I'd build a target list of those personas, and that list would go to the sales team, who'd use it to reach out to those people.
