FAQ
How do you calculate the correct IngramSpark hardcover spine width?
I use the book's page count, paper specifications, and the applicable cover requirements to determine the appropriate spine measurement.
What information do you need to calculate spine width?
I need your final interior page count, trim size, paper or interior specification, and the relevant IngramSpark cover requirements.
Can you work with an existing PDF or Adobe Illustrator file?
Yes. I can review and work with suitable existing files, depending on their structure, quality, and editability
Can you prepare the complete hardcover dust jacket?
Yes. I can format the back cover, spine, front cover, and jacket flaps when the necessary artwork and text are supplied.
Will my file be ready for IngramSpark submission?
I will prepare and check the file against the applicable specifications. Final acceptance depends on IngramSpark's current requirements and validation process.
Can you fix a rejected dust jacket file?
Yes. Please send the rejected file and the exact error message so I can assess the required corrections before you order.
Do you create new cover illustrations and artwork?
This gig focuses on spine calculations and technical cover-file preparation. New illustrations or extensive cover redesigns may require a separate custom offer.
What if my page count changes after the calculation?
A change in page count can affect spine width. Please send the final approved interior file or page count before I calculate the spine.
