About this Gig
Planning to register a trademark in Canada? I'll help you prepare a strong, complete application for the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), so you can file with confidence.
With 5 years of experience in trademark filings, I handle the research and paperwork that most applicants find confusing.
What I do:
- Preliminary search of the Canadian Trademarks Database for conflicting marks
- - Goods and services list written to CIPO's pre-approved terms
- - Nice classification for each class you need
- - Completed application details, ready for you to file as the applicant
- - Step-by-step filing walkthrough (Premium)
Please note:
- CIPO government fees are not included in the package price.
- - You file the application as the applicant. I am not a licensed Canadian trademark agent, so I do not represent you before CIPO or give legal advice. If you need representation or a legal opinion, please use a licensed trademark agent.
Message me before ordering if you need more than 5 classes or have a complex mark.

FAQ
Will you file the application for me?
No. In Canada, only licensed trademark agents can represent applicants before CIPO. I prepare everything so you can file as the applicant yourself, and the Premium package includes a step-by-step filing walkthrough.
Are CIPO government fees included?
No. CIPO filing fees depend on the number of classes and are paid by you directly when you file. I'll tell you the expected fee for your application.
Does a clear search guarantee my trademark will be registered?
No. A preliminary search lowers the risk of conflicts, but CIPO examines every application and makes the final decision. No one can guarantee registration.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your trademark (word and/or logo), the applicant's full name and address, and a description of the goods or services you sell or plan to sell in Canada.
