Do I need to buy a domain and web hosting before placing an order?
Not necessarily for the design phase! If we are designing directly on a platform like Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress, you can start with a free account. However, you will need your own domain and active subscription plan when you are ready to make the site live to the public.
What do I need to provide before we start?
o get started, I’ll need your written copy (text for each page), any images or logos you want included, and a few examples of websites whose design style you like. If you don't have images ready, I can use high-quality stock imagery and we can swap them out later!
Do you build the live site or just provide design files?
I offer both depending on your needs. I can deliver complete visual design files (such as Canva mockups) or build the live, fully responsive layouts directly on platforms like Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress. Send me a message to discuss which route is best for your project.
What if I don't have my text/content ready yet?
I can design the initial layout using placeholder text to establish the structure and visual hierarchy. Or, we can work together to draft something up that will flow. However, having your actual copy ready yields the best results, as the layout will be tailored specifically to your message.
Can I update or edit the site myself after you complete the design?
Yes! I build page layouts to be intuitive and easy to maintain. Once the project is completed, you will have full control to edit text, swap photos, or add new content without needing technical skills.
What is included in a "revision"?
A revision covers tweaks to colors, fonts, spacing, image swaps, or minor layout adjustments. Revisions do not cover a complete redesign from scratch after a concept has been approved, or adding brand-new pages not included in the original order scope.
