How is this different from just using Excel or Power BI?
Excel is for building the data. This is for reading it. A dashboard designed around your decisions loads instantly, needs no licence, and can be opened by anyone you send it to. If Power BI is genuinely the better fit, we will tell you.
Do I own the code?
Completely. You receive the working file, the full commented source code and documentation. There is no licence, no subscription and no dependency on us. You or any developer can extend it later.
Does it need a server or hosting?
No. The standard delivery is a single file that opens in any browser and runs on any machine, including offline. Hosting on your own domain is available as an extra if you want a shareable link.
Is my data secure?
Yes. The tool runs locally on your machine and your data never leaves it, unless you specifically request a hosted or live-connected version. We sign NDAs on request and retain no client data after handover.
Can multiple people use it at the same time?
The standard build is single-user and read-only, which covers most reporting needs. Multi-user access with accounts and shared editing is a different architecture, available as an extra with its own scope and timeline.
Can you build a calculator or quoting tool rather than a dashboard?
Yes. Quoting calculators, pricing configurators, planners and trackers use the same approach. Describe the inputs, the logic and the output you need and we will confirm scope before you order.
How complex can it get?
Around ten views with advanced filtering and exports is the practical ceiling for this format. Beyond that you are building a real application with a database, which is a larger project. We will say so honestly rather than overselling this.
