I will migrate your android XML screens to jetpack compose
Senior Android Engineer
About this Gig
Is your Android app still built on XML layouts, Fragments and findViewById? I migrate your screens to Jetpack Compose one at a time, so your app keeps working throughout.
I'm a Senior Android Engineer with 6+ years of experience on a ride-hailing app with 5M+ downloads and 1M+ active drivers, and I maintain an open-source Jetpack Compose UI library. I know both the old View system and Compose.
What you get:
- XML screens rebuilt in Compose with the same look and behavior (or Material 3)
- UI state moved into a ViewModel with StateFlow
- Previews for every composable
- Compose and XML working side by side, so you can migrate gradually
- Compose Navigation setup (Premium)
- One clean Git commit per screen
How it works:
1. You share the repo, the screens you want, and screenshots.
2. I confirm what fits your package before I start.
3. I migrate, you test, and I fix anything that doesn't match.
Each package is time-boxed. If your screens are more complex than expected, I tell you first and offer a custom quote.
I use AI coding tools to speed up routine work, and I review every line myself.

FAQ
Will my app still work during the migration?
Yes. I migrate screen by screen and keep XML and Compose side by side, so the app builds and runs after every change.
Do I need to migrate the whole app?
No. Most apps migrate gradually. Start with 1 to 3 screens, check the result, then order more.
Will the design stay the same?
Yes. By default I match your current look. If you prefer Material 3, tell me in the requirements.
Do you write tests?
I add previews and check each screen on an emulator. ViewModel unit tests are available as an extra.
What if my screens are very complex?
I confirm the scope before starting. If a screen needs more than your package covers, I offer a custom quote or a larger package.
Do I get the source code?
Yes, as a Git branch or pull request with one commit per screen.
