I will write clear API documentation with openapi and a developer quickstart
About this Gig
Help the next developer make their first successful request without decoding scattered notes. I turn your existing REST API material into clear documentation and a practical quickstart.
Every package includes an editable OpenAPI JSON or YAML file, parameters, supplied response schemas and examples, authentication instructions, known errors and a Markdown quickstart. Standard and Premium add an importable Postman collection.
Basic: 3 operations / 400-word guide. Standard: 8 operations / 1000 words. Premium: 15 operations / 1600 words. An operation means one HTTP method and path. One consolidated revision. English delivery; written communication.
Provide an existing specification, collection or complete endpoint notes with redacted examples. I check specification structure and consistency against your source, and flag unknowns. Live requests are tested only when agreed sandbox access is supplied.
No backend development, production deployment or API security audit. Message with a sample before ordering. AI may assist drafting; source verification is part of delivery. Only share authorized material; no production secrets or customer data.

FAQ
Can you document an API from scratch?
I work from an existing specification, Postman collection or complete endpoint notes. Reverse engineering an undocumented codebase is not included. Send a sample first so we can agree scope.
Will you test the API?
I check the OpenAPI file structure and consistency with your supplied source. Live request testing requires agreed sandbox access; it is not a production audit or a guarantee of uptime.
What exactly counts as an endpoint?
For package sizing, one operation is one HTTP method plus one path. GET /projects and POST /projects count as two operations. One revision covers corrections within the agreed scope.
