Can an ATtiny85 board run over USB-C and survive a static zap? Yes, when the V-USB data lines are wired and protected correctly. Get it wrong and the board wont enumerate, or it dies the first time someone touches the connector.
I design Digispark-style ATtiny85 boards with USB-C, ESD protection and pins that sit across a breadboard centre gap, ready for sketches from the Arduino IDE. I also tell you whether your build needs a zener clamp, an ESD array or both.

FAQ
Will the board really run over USB-C?
Yes. I wire the V-USB data lines the standard way and add the USB-C CC resistors so a charger or PC can power it. I can’t test your prototype, so check that your computer detects it and tell me if it doesn’t.
Do I need a zener clamp or an ESD array?
They do different jobs. A zener clamp limits the signal level on D+ and D-, and an ESD array protects against static. Basic includes ESD protection, and I add a zener clamp if your supply voltage needs one.
Will it fit my breadboard?
Yes. I space the pin rows to straddle a breadboard’s centre gap. Send your breadboard type or the row spacing before ordering and I’ll confirm it fits.
Can I program it from the Arduino IDE?
That’s the goal. Standard includes an ISP header and bootloader notes (this chip family commonly uses Micronucleus). You flash the bootloader yourself, since I deliver design files and don’t program or ship boards.
What files will I receive?
All packages: schematic, PCB layout, Gerber files and BOM. Standard adds source files, and Premium adds assembly files and a 3D model. The files work with major manufacturers, but I don’t make or ship the board.
Can you change the shape, or fix my existing board?
6. Can you change the shape, or fix my existing board? Yes. Premium covers a custom shape, size and pinout, so send your limits and pin order. For an existing board, order the “Review and fix my existing board” extra and send your files. I’ll check the USB wiring, protection and layout.
