Useful beta reading tells you where the story lost momentum, which promises went unfulfilled, and what the reader understood. I will never tell you "the pacing felt slow," or a simple "I liked the characters." I will provide you with detailed feedback and breakdowns of what's working, what I'd keep, and the changes I would make.
I write and read LitRPG, fantasy, and horror. In these genres, progression must feel earned, rules must remain coherent, worldbuilding must hold together, and horror must build tension before it is spent.
Every package includes inline reader reactions and a reader report. I can assess:

Is this an editing or proofreading service?
No. I may flag errors or awkward sentences when they affect the reading experience, but I will not correct the manuscript line by line. This gig provides reader reactions and story-level feedback.
What does the included revision cover?
A revision covers something I misunderstood, omitted, or explained unclearly in my report. It does not include rereading rewritten chapters, a revised manuscript, or additional material.
Can you beta read individual chapters or an unfinished manuscript?
Yes. I can read opening chapters, individual arcs, serial installments, or unfinished drafts. Please provide a synopsis and enough context for me to understand where the excerpt belongs.
What if my manuscript exceeds 50,000 words or falls between packages?
Message me before ordering. I will create a custom offer based on the exact word count, requested depth, and a realistic delivery time.
What file formats do you accept?
Microsoft Word (.docx) or Google Docs are preferred because they support inline comments. Contact me before ordering if your manuscript is only available in another format.
Will my manuscript remain confidential?
Yes. I will not share, publish, quote, or use your manuscript outside the order. I will delete my working copy after the order is completed.
Do you accept dark or graphic material?
I accept violence, body horror, disturbing themes, and other dark material appropriate to horror or speculative fiction. I do not accept manuscripts written primarily as erotica.
Can I ask you to focus on particular concerns?
Yes. You can list up to three specific questions or concerns in the order requirements. I will prioritize them within the scope and depth of your selected package.
Do you use AI to read or evaluate manuscripts?
No. I read every manuscript myself and produce the comments and report from my own reading. I do not upload client manuscripts to generative AI tools.
