FAQ
Do I need to remove VFX, titles, or graphics before sending my project?
Yes, please remove any VFX, text, or graphics before sending the timeline. This ensures I can focus only on the clean footage for accurate color grading.
Can you color grade in ACES for CGI and VFX projects?
Yes! I can grade in ACES workflow, which is the industry standard for CGI and VFX-heavy projects. It ensures consistent color across all stages and is approved by major platforms like Netflix, making it the best option for professional, cinematic results.
What do you need from me to start?
I’ll need your raw video files (preferably in LOG, RAW, or Rec709 format), any references for the look you want, and details about the project (wedding, short film, ad, etc.). You can send files via Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer.
What formats will I receive the final video in?
By default, I deliver in MP4 (H.264/H.265), optimized for high quality and small file size. I can also provide ProRes, DNxHR, or other formats if requested.
Can you export in DCP for cinema (Flat & Scope)?
Yes! I can deliver your project as a Digital Cinema Package (DCP) in both Flat (1.85:1) and Scope (2.39:1) formats, ensuring it’s ready for professional cinema projection.
What is your turnaround time for different video durations?
Delivery time depends on the video length and complexity. For example, a 5-minute video takes around 2–3 days to color grade professionally. Longer projects, such as full films or ads, may take 4–7 days to ensure precise grading and consistency.
