About this gig
I build mobile apps and ship them. LyricGlow is mine: live on the Play Store, 4.6 stars, over 3 thousand installs. It reads what's playing through a notification listener and draws lyrics onto the always-on display, the fiddly end of Android most developers avoid.
Native Android in Kotlin is where I'm strongest: notification listeners, media sessions, overlays, foreground services, background limits, battery optimisation, OEM quirks on Xiaomi and Samsung. If your app is getting killed in the background or your overlay won't draw, I've already fought that.
I also work in Flutter and React Native, and I'm often called in when a cross-platform app needs native Android written for it: a plugin, a permission flow, a platform channel the framework can't reach.
Plus the ordinary work: bug fixes, features, Kotlin migrations, Play Store submissions and policy rejections.
How it works. Send the repo or APK and tell me what's broken or what you want built. I'll tell you before you order whether it's a fit. Scope in writing, then I start. Source code with every order.

FAQ
Do I get the source code?
Yes, with every order including bug fixes. You get the full project, not just an APK. I don't hold code back as leverage.
Can you fix a bug in an app someone else built?
That's most of my work. Send the repo and clear steps to reproduce it. If I can't reproduce the bug I'll tell you before you order, rather than burning your delivery time guessing.
My app works in the emulator but dies on a real phone. Can you help?
This is my specialism. It's usually background execution limits, a missing foreground service, battery optimisation on Xiaomi or Oppo, or a permission that behaves differently per manufacturer. Send me the device model and Android version and I'll tell you what's likely wrong.
Do you do the design?
No. I build what you give me. If you don't have designs, send screenshots of an app whose layout you like and I'll follow the structure. I'm an engineer, not a designer, and I'd rather say so up front than disappoint you at delivery.
Will you publish it to the Play Store for me?
Yes, included in Premium, or as an extra on the other packages. You keep full ownership of your Play Console account. You either add me as a user with release permissions, or you upload the signed build I send you. I don't need your password and won't ask for it.
I have a Flutter or React Native app. Can you work on it?
Yes. I'm strongest when a cross-platform app needs native Android written for it, a plugin, a permission flow, a platform channel the framework can't reach. For pure Dart or JavaScript work I'm competent but not a specialist, and I'll tell you before you order.
What if the fix doesn't work?
Then I keep working on it. A failed fix doesn't count as a revision. Revisions cover changes to what we agreed, not me finishing the job I said I'd do.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, send it before you order. I don't reuse client code and I don't put client work in my portfolio without written permission.
