Excel and CSV cleanup: I take a messy export and return a tidy file with consistent columns, standardised dates and numbers, trimmed whitespace and no stray formatting.
Bounded data-entry cleanup: fixed-scope tidy-up work where the file count and row count are agreed before I start - not open-ended ongoing data entry.
Agreed scope first: before I start, we confirm in writing exactly which files, how many rows, and what the output should look like.
Sample first: if the input is messy or unfamiliar, I run a small sample and send it to you before we go any further, so you can see the real output rather than a description of it.
Checked before delivery: every file is validated against the rules we agreed - row counts, required fields, formats, duplicates - before it comes back to you.
- Not included: scanned, photographed or handwritten input - digital files only
- Not included: fuzzy or probabilistic matching, and merging two partial rows into one
- Not included: choosing which of two conflicting values is correct - those are reported to you

What file types can you work with?
CSV files and Excel workbooks. Digital files only - I do not work from scans or photographs of a document.
Can I see it working on my own file first?
Yes. Send a small sample and I will run it and send the result back, so you see the real output before we agree the full job.
How will I know what changed?
Every job comes back with the cleaned file and a short summary: rows in, rows out, exact repeats removed, empty cells found, and any row whose structure broke, named by row number.
Do you change my original file?
No. The original is never written to. You get a new file back and keep the one you sent.
