About this gig
Need full-color or photorealistic artwork separated for screen printing?
I specialize in Simulated Process Color Separation using halftone dots and spot inks to reproduce complex, detailed images that print accurately on dark or light garments.
Whether you print on a manual press, automatic, or need files ready for DTF and DTG I engineer every file to print right, not just look right on screen.
WHAT YOU GET:
Halftone-optimized separations (AM & FM)
- White underbase + highlight white layers
- Press-ready PSD/PDF with color channels
- Pantone ink color matching
- Ink sequence & mesh count guide
- RIP-compatible (AccuRip, FastRIP, etc.)
- Works for T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags & more
I've been screen printing and separating since 2016 every file is tested for print, not just exported.

FAQ
What is color separation?
The act of decomposing a color chart or photo into a one-color layer used for screen printing purposes.
What are the types of color separation?
There are several separation processes used by screen printers. Common screen printing color separations include: 1. Spot color separation (Solid color) 2. Four-color process (CMYK) 3. Simulated-process color 4. Grayscale Color Separation
What is Simulated Color Separation?
Simulated Color Separation is a screen printing method that recreates photo-realistic images using spot colors instead of CMYK. The artwork is separated into multiple color channels to produce smooth gradients, strong contrast, and vibrant prints—especially on dark garments. When paired with a white
What file formats do you accept?
High-resolution raster files are best (PSD, TIFF, PNG) at 300 DPI at actual print size. Vector AI or EPS files are also acceptable.
Do I get the source file?
Yes, I provide the layered PSD file with all spot channels clearly labeled with Pantone names.
Can you provide the files pre-halftoned (bitmapped)?
Yes, if you provide your required LPI (Lines Per Inch), Angle, and Dot Shape, I can deliver split files ready for film output.
How many colors will the final separation be?
This depends on your press capabilities. Standard sim process is usually 6 to 8 colors, but I can optimize for as few as 4 or as many as 12.
Does this work for manual screen printing presses?
Yes, but simulated process is technically demanding. I recommend high-tension screens and good registration. Let me know if you print manually so I can adjust the underbase choke.
Do you offer vector tracing if my image is low quality?
Yes, but that is a separate service or an extra add-on. Please message me first to check if your image needs tracing.
