FAQ
What is Astro, and why not WordPress?
WordPress rebuilds every page from a database on each visit and loads plugins on top. Astro does the work once, at build time, and serves finished HTML. So pages are much faster, there is far less to break, nothing to keep patching, and hosting can be free instead of a monthly bill.
Do you use templates or purchased themes?
No. Every page is hand-built against your references. That matters twice over: there is no theme to license or infringe, and nothing that breaks the next time a theme author ships an update.
Can I add posts myself afterwards?
Yes. Your articles are plain Markdown files, and I include a short guide on adding a post and publishing it. For day-to-day writing you never touch build tooling.
Is Cloudflare hosting really free?
For a normal content site, yes. The free tier handles thousands of daily visitors and you pay only for your domain. If your traffic ever outgrows it, the paid tier is cheap and I will tell you when that point arrives.
What do you need from me to start?
Your page list, your content or at least an outline, one or two reference sites, and your domain. The Requirements form on the order page asks for exactly these, so filling it in gets us moving straight away.
How do revisions work?
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds covering changes to an agreed deliverable: layout, spacing, colours, copy placement. New pages or new features after approval are extra scope, and I always quote that first rather than surprising you later.
Do you guarantee a Google ranking?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. What I control is the technical foundation: speed, clean HTML, correct meta tags, a sitemap and sensible internal linking. That is what a page needs to have a chance. Ranking also depends on your content and your competition.
Can you also connect payments or a shop?
A simple checkout integration, for example Lemon Squeezy, is possible as separate scope, so message me. Full e-commerce with carts, inventory and shipping is not something I take on.
Can you improve an existing Astro site, or only build new ones?
Both. I can audit and fix an existing Astro or static site, or build one from scratch. Message me your repo and what is wrong and I will tell you which package fits before you order.
What is not included?
E-commerce, logins, dashboards, CMS platforms, WordPress migration and ongoing content writing. If you need one of those, message me and I will point you to the right scope instead of taking an order I cannot deliver well.
