Co-founder and lead developer of HealthyU, a healthy-food delivery and nutrition-tracking app I built from scratch and launched on both the App Store and Google Play. It currently serves over 1,500 active users in Egypt. I led the product end to end and handled development solo. I built the frontend in React Native, Expo, and TypeScript, developed the backend on Appwrite and Node.js, integrated Paymob for payments, and implemented real-time order updates and push notifications across iOS and Android. I also designed and delivered the full UI for two separate applications, one for customers and one for restaurant partners. Scaling the app to 1,500+ users involved far more than building features. I onboarded restaurant partners across multiple cities and resolved the kinds of issues that only surface in production, including diagnosing excessive database reads that were degrading performance and re-architecting the home screen with SWR and Appwrite Realtime for instant updates. I also built the landing page and led the growth and monetization strategy. This experience gave me a strong command of the full product lifecycle, from architecture and development through to maintaining stability and performance under real-world load.
