About this gig
I specialise in designing websites on the Google Sites platform. Sites is free to use and as it is integrated with Google Apps there are great ways to display documents, spreadsheets, slideshows, forms and drawings.
The Classic version will be phased out within the next few years.
If you already have a Classic website I can help save you time and heartache by migrating all of your pages to the New version of Sites. Whether you employ me to create your website or not I wholeheartedly recommend using the New platform.
In the New version, the design process is streamlined so that the end result looks great on all screens, including smartphones, where most of the browsing is done.
This platform is easy to use to set up a nice, simple website. However, to make a larger, more interactive website using Google Sites takes a little more time, skill and effort - that's where I come in.
I can also map your existing domain to your new site.

I worked in various IT roles for a secondary academy in London, England for 12 years. In the last eight years there, I managed the school website and digital signage as well teaching both students and teachers in IT. In that time I developed a broad range of skills from web design, to data management and graphic design. I left in July 2017 to work for myself.
As a freelancer I create websites, intranets, Google Forms and work as a Google Workspace Administrator.
In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, watching Sheffield United Football Club, walking and cycling.

FAQ
Do you write content for websites?
No, I am not a content writer so ideally you will have content, images and branding all ready to go for the website.
Will I be able to use my own unique domain name for my Google Site?
It is possible to have your unique domain name displayed in the browser address bar when visitors open your Google site. People will click on your link and arrive at your Google Site - this is called mapping. I provide an extra gig to map your purchased domain name (URL) to your Google website.
Who will own my Google Site when it is complete?
It's always best if you create the blank Google Site yourself so that you are the owner right from the beginning. If you are a Google G Suite subscriber this will be a necessity as it is not possible to transfer ownership of any Google file to a G Suite domain.
How do I create a blank Google Site?
There are a few different ways to do this but I suggest you go to your Google Drive and left-click on the New button, hover your mouse over 'More' and then select 'Google Sites'.
