I will design an electronic data collection instrument (Case Report Form, or e-CRF) for your study. It will validate data input to minimize the chance of mistyping valuable information. Additionally the instrument will also export the data table in a structured format that is ready to be processed by the statistician or data analyst, so you will save time on both data entry and cleaning.
Simpler instruments can be created in the Google Forms platform. More complex instruments can be created using CDC's Epi Info software.

Data management for clinical studies exists to ensure the quality of the data that will be used to generate insights to understand health outcomes in human populations. All numeric and date values should be valid and categorical data should follow the standards defined in the study protocol.
How will an instrument ensure my clinical data quality?
By limiting data entry to only accept valid values in each field you ensure that most typing will follow your prespecified rules. This makes it both faster and less error-prone. Additionally the instrument will also export the data table, ready to be processed by the statistician or data analyst.
Is the actual data entry for my project included in this gig?
No. This gig is for the design and creation of the data collection instrument. The instrument I deliver will ensure that your project follows best practices in data management. Your project team will be able to use it to collect the actual data.
Will you have access to my patient data?
No. When you deploy the instrument I design, I will NOT have access to it or your actual patient data. If you want me to analyse your data, you can export it to a table and place an order in an appropriate gig (I have gigs to address various complexity needs).
