About this Gig
With over 15 years of working in industry standard notation software (Sibelius, and now Steinberg's Dorico), alongside extensive performance experience from orchestral to jazz and session work, I know first hand how much easier life can be when you have clear, accurate sheet music to work from.
Without this experience, creating sheet music can be a long and frustrating process - so why not leave it to me!
I can take handwritten,scanned or poorly printed music (as long as it's legible enough to work out the notes) and convert it to scores, parts or both in PDF format, plus your choice of MusicXML, Midi, Sibelius or Dorico.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN AUDIO TRANSCRIPTION SERVICE. Please get in touch directly if you wish to discuss transcription from audio.
Pricing is based on pages of music, but for larger or more complex projects (orchestral or big band scores, for example) please contact me to discuss a quote.
I can even bring an element of arrangement into this - filling in missing parts, or turning a lead sheet into parts for your choice of instruments. I'm flexible - just ask!

How will I receive the sheet music?
As standard, I'll send a separate PDF file (A4 size) for each score or parts but I can also send combined PDFs. I can also provide Sibelius, Dorico, MusicXML or MIDI files. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN AUDIO TRANSCRIPTION SERVICE. Please get in touch directly if you wish to discuss transcription fro
Can you create parts from a score?
Yes, absolutely! Please contact to discuss pricing, which will be based on the number of parts required.
Can you make changes to the music?
Yes, of course - I am a composer and arranger as well as a copyist. Simple changes can be done free of charge, or for more complex changes (such as changing the key or writing new parts) please contact me for a quote.
What format should I send you the source music in?
PDF is best, or other legible form. Or a Notation Software file in XML, Dorico, Sibelius or MuseScore format. I am unable to handle Finale files directly. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN AUDIO TRANSCRIPTION SERVICE. Please get in touch directly if you wish to discuss transcription from audio.
