Do you write Ansible or Bash?
Both. Ansible for repeatable changes across many servers, Bash for quick tasks on one server. I will recommend the right one for your task before starting.
Is the automation safe to run more than once?
Yes. Playbooks are idempotent, so running them again only changes what is needed. Scripts default to a dry run where possible.
Do I need Ansible installed already?
No. Ansible only needs SSH and Python on your servers. I can set up the control machine for you.
What do you need to start?
The manual task you want automated, your distro and version, how many servers, and SSH access to a test server if possible.
