I do forensic audio and video transcription the way it's supposed to be done: true clean verbatim.
Every word gets written exactly as said pauses, false starts, [inaudible] tags where the audio drops, no smoothing anything over. In this work, accuracy isn't a bonus, it's the point.
Most of what I handle is difficult material overlapping voices, phone recordings, body-cam or interrogation-room footage, background noise the kind of audio to text or video transcription job a general transcriber turns away. If a file is too degraded to transcribe reliably, I'll say so honestly before you pay.
For interviews, I label speakers clearly (interviewer/subject, or by name) throughout the interview transcript, with timestamps at every speaker change for video files, timestamps line up with the footage.
Done by hand, checked against the audio or video not an AI transcriber's raw output. Files deleted after delivery; NDA available on request.

FAQ
Do you transcribe video as well as audio, or just audio?
Both. I handle forensic audio recordings and video files equally interrogation footage, body-cam video, surveillance audio, recorded interviews. Timestamps are synced to match the video's actual runtime.
What does "clean verbatim" actually mean?
Every word is transcribed exactly as spoken filler words, false starts, stutters, and pauses included. Where the audio is unclear or inaudible, I mark it as [inaudible] rather than guessing at what was said. Nothing is paraphrased or cleaned up.
Do you use AI transcription?
I may use AI-assisted tools to speed up the first pass, but every transcript is manually checked word-by-word against the original audio or video before delivery. For this kind of work, raw AI output isn't accurate enough to rely on, and I don't deliver it as-is.
How do you handle multiple speakers or overlapping voices?
Speakers are labeled clearly throughout (interviewer/subject, or by name/role if provided). Where voices overlap, I transcribe what's audible from each speaker and note where overlap makes a section unclear, rather than skipping it.
Is this confidential? My file is sensitive/case-related.
Yes. Every file is deleted after delivery, and I'll sign an NDA at no extra cost if you need one before sending your file.
My recording has background noise, poor audio quality, or a bad camera angle for lip reading can you still do it?
Send a short sample (1-2 minutes) before ordering and I'll give you an honest answer on whether I can deliver a reliable transcript. I won't take an order I don't think I can deliver accurately.
Can this transcript be used in a legal or official context?
I provide an accurate, verbatim written record of what's audible/visible in your file. I'm not a certified court reporter, so if your case specifically requires a certified/sworn transcript, please confirm that requirement with me before ordering.
