What software do you use for takeoffs and estimation?
I use industry-standard software including PlanSwift for high-precision digital on-screen takeoffs. For cost estimation and reporting, I utilize Microsoft Excel.
Do you provide labor costs or just material quantities?
I provide both! My standard reports include a full Material Takeoff (quantities) and a Labor Cost Estimate. If you have your own specific labor rates, I can integrate those into the spreadsheet; otherwise, I use location-based industry averages.
What file formats do you need from me to start?
The best format is a high-resolution PDF of your architectural, structural, and MEP plans. I can also work with DWG (CAD) files or high-quality image scans
Can you provide color-coded markups of the plans?
I provide color-coded PDF markups (takeoff overlays) that show exactly what was measured.
