I will be your china customs compliance consultant for hs code and import duty
Import Export Research and Compliance Document Review
About this Gig
If your goods ship from China, the problem is usually not the destination tariff code. It is the China-side declaration: the export commodity code, the supervision conditions, or a document that doesn't match.
That is the side I work on. Nine years in international supply chain across manufacturer, forwarder and carrier, now handling customs compliance for a Chinese electronics manufacturer.
WHAT YOU GET
- HS 6-digit code with GRI-based reasoning
- China export commodity code + supervision conditions
- Destination duty rate estimate
- Export document checklist (invoice, packing list, CO, MSDS where relevant)
- A clean PDF you can forward to your supplier or broker
WHY IT MATTERS
A wrong supervision condition means your supplier cannot file the export declaration at all. A mismatched certificate of origin gets your preferential duty claim rejected. Both fail in China, before the goods reach your port.

FAQ
Which countries can you classify for?
HS 6-digit applies globally. I cover China export codes in full detail, plus destination codes for the US (HTS), EU (TARIC), UK and Canada, worked from the official published schedules. If your product sits on a genuine classification borderline, I will tell you rather than guess.
What information do you need from me?
Product photos, material breakdown by percentage, function, and intended use. For textiles, knit or woven construction. For electronics, power source and core component. Vague descriptions produce vague codes, so the more you send, the tighter the result.
Can you guarantee customs will accept the code?
No one honestly can. Classification is the importer's legal responsibility and customs can take a different view. What you get is a defensible code with the GRI reasoning written out, so you have a documented basis if questioned. For binding certainty in the US, you need a CBP ruling.
My shipment is already held at Chinese customs. Can you help?
Send me the notice your supplier or forwarder received and I will tell you what triggered it and which documents resolve it. Live cases vary a lot in scope, so message me before ordering and I will send a custom offer.
Do you read Chinese documents?
Chinese is my first language. On Standard and Premium I review the Chinese-language paperwork your supplier sends you, which is usually where the mismatch is hiding. If needed, I can prepare a written brief in Chinese for you to pass to your supplier.
