Which languages can you convert to?
I convert COBOL, Fortran and Visual Basic (VB6, VB.NET, VBA) to Python, Java, C#, C++ and Rust. If you need another target language, message me first and I will tell you if I can do it.
Which old languages and versions do you support?
COBOL (including mainframe-style code), Fortran (77 to modern), VB6, VB.NET and VBA for Excel and Access. Send me a short sample before ordering and I will confirm I can handle your version.
Will the new program give exactly the same results?
I run the old and new versions on the same test inputs and send you a comparison report. I can only verify the cases we test, so please share sample inputs, especially tricky ones like rounding, blanks and month-end dates.
Do I need to share my real company data?
No. Please send sanitized sample data only, with no real customer, payroll or financial records. I am happy to sign an NDA before you share your code.
Can you only fix or explain my code without converting it?
Yes. I can fix bugs, explain what a program does, add comments and write documentation. The Basic package is a good fit for small fixes and explanations
What do I need to send you to get started?
Your source code, the language and version, a short description of what it should do, and a few sample inputs with expected outputs. The more detail you give, the faster and more accurate the work.
Can you build a new program from scratch?
Yes, small tools, reports, utilities and Excel/Access automation work well. For large systems, message me first so we can agree on scope and price, or I can offer a custom offer.
Do you help with student assignments?
I can help you understand, debug and learn from your project in COBOL, Fortran or Visual Basic. I do not submit graded work on your behalf, so please follow your school’s rules.
What happens if something is wrong after delivery?
Each package includes revisions, and I offer support after delivery for any issues with what I built. Tell me what you see and I will fix it.
