What is a developmental edit?

This is a high-level structural overview of your entire book, including the plot, character arcs, themes, flow, and pacing. I will read through your entire manuscript and objectively consider how well each element suits your book's genre and age level, the marketability of your premise, and story structure. I will provide a comprehensive editorial letter (5-8 pages, single spaced) with positive and constructive feedback that can elevate your story to the next level and help you catch the attention of agents, publishers, and readers. In addition, I'll make comments in the manuscript itself, to pinpoint specific areas that can be improved.
