About this gig

20 years designing backend systems in Java every role from developer to project lead, on monoliths and microservices. Need an API that holds up in production from day one, or a microservices setup that won't turn into a mess in six months? I can help.

No templates, no "hello world" dressed up as architecture every delivery ships with real tests, documentation, and a reason behind each decision.

I've watched Java evolve from Struts and J2EE to Spring Boot and Quarkus, so when I pick a technology, it's because I've already compared it against the alternative in production.

What sets me apart:

- Quarkus and FastAPI for cloud-native setups where cold-start and memory actually matter

- Polars and DuckDB for heavy analytics, no bloated big-data stack

- Enterprise auth: Microsoft Entra ID, Auth0 not hand-rolled JWT

- Testcontainers, MockOAuth, WireMock if your tests give false positives, it's the setup, not your code

  • Message me before ordering every business system is different, and I'd rather understand what you're building before locking in scope
