I will automate your CSV cleanup with a reusable python script
About this Gig
Turn a messy CSV export into a usable file, with a Python script to repeat the same cleanup on future exports.
For one CSV up to 1,000 rows and 20 columns, I will:
- trim leading and trailing spaces;
- remove rows that are identical after the agreed normalization, keeping the first occurrence and archiving removed rows;
- standardize agreed date and numeric columns;
- preserve text identifiers and flag unclear values.
You receive the cleaned CSV, a detailed change log, the reusable Python script and instructions. One revision within the agreed scope is included.
Dates: DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD. Numbers: decimal comma or point, optional spaces for thousands and a trailing euro symbol. Missing or invalid values stay visible.
Please send an anonymized sample and your rules before ordering. Export Excel or Google Sheets to CSV first. The script requires Python 3.9 or later. No macros, formulas or fuzzy matching. Work uses scripts and AI-assisted review. Gallery examples are synthetic. English and French communication.

FAQ
Can you work with Excel or Google Sheets?
Please export one sheet to CSV before ordering. This package covers tabular CSV data; it does not preserve workbook formatting, formulas or macros.
Will you guess missing values?
No. Missing values remain blank. Unrecognized dates or numbers are retained and flagged for review.
Can I reuse the script?
Yes. It runs locally with Python 3.9 or later and requires no extra Python libraries. It applies the same agreed rules to exports with the same structure.
Are the gallery files from real clients?
No. The example is entirely synthetic and demonstrates the deliverables without sharing anyone's private data.
