What will I receive?
You'll receive your manuscript with developmental comments and annotations, plus a detailed editorial report outlining key strengths, concerns and actionable suggestions for revision.
Do you use AI to edit manuscripts?
No. Every comment and editorial report is completed entirely by me. Your manuscript will never be analysed or edited using AI-generated suggestions.
What genres do you edit?
I specialise in fantasy, romantasy, romance and sci-fi. If your manuscript falls outside these genres, feel free to message me before ordering.
What's the difference between developmental editing and line editing?
Developmental editing focuses on the story as a whole, including plot, pacing, structure and characters. Line editing focuses on the prose itself, improving clarity, flow, readability and sentence-level style.
Will you rewrite my manuscript?
No. I'll identify issues, explain why they may not be working and suggest possible solutions, but the creative decisions and revisions remain yours.
Does my manuscript need to be finished?
Ideally, yes. A completed manuscript allows me to assess the full plot, character arcs, pacing and structure. My Chapter Assessment is available if you'd like feedback on your opening before finishing your novel.
Do you provide series development feedback?
Yes. If you'd like feedback on overarching series development, please message me before ordering so I can provide a custom quote based on the scope of your project.
Do you edit novels over 100,000 words?
Absolutely. Please message me with your manuscript's word count before ordering and I'll create a custom offer with an appropriate price and delivery schedule.
