I recently worked with a client who wanted to launch a fully functional TikTok Shop but was struggling with the initial setup and category approvals. My role was to handle the entire TikTok Shop setup process and make sure the store was properly configured to start selling. I successfully set up the TikTok Shop account, configured the store settings, and guided the structure of the shop to align with TikTok’s requirements. One of the main challenges was getting approval for restricted categories, specifically food and beverage products. I worked through the TikTok Shop category approval process, prepared the required information, and ensured the products met TikTok’s policies so they could be approved. After approval, I listed the food and beverage products in the store, optimized the product information, and organized the catalog properly so customers could easily browse the shop. Beyond the setup and listings, I also supported the client with basic TikTok Shop management, making sure the products were correctly displayed and the store was ready for sales and affiliate promotion. The project helped the client move from having no TikTok Shop presence to running an active store with approved categories and live products. This experience strengthened my expertise in TikTok Shop setup, category approval, product listing, and store management. It also gave me practical experience handling compliance requirements and helping sellers launch successfully on TikTok Shop.
