FAQ
What do you need from me to get started?
For covers, I need your book title, subtitle, author name, genre, blurb, preferred design style/references, and trim size. For formatting, I need your final manuscript (in Word or Google Docs), your desired trim size, and any specific design preferences (font styles, chapter headers designs, etc)
Do I retain all commercial rights and copyright to the final files?
Yes, once the order is completed, you own 100% of the commercial rights to your cover and layout files.
Can you format books and design covers in languages other than English?
Yes! I accept manuscripts in all languages. Whether your book is in Spanish, French, German, Tagalog, Japanese, Arabic, or any other language, I ensure proper text alignment, font compatibility, and clean typesetting.
What book genres do you work with?
I work across all genres! This includes Fiction (Romance, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Mystery, Historical, YA) and Non-Fiction (Self-Help, Business, Memoirs, Cookbooks, Academic, Poetry, and Children's books).
What file formats will I receive for my book cover?
You will receive high-resolution, print-ready files (PDF/JPEG) sized correctly for your publishing platform (such as KDP, IngramSpark, or Lulu).
What file formats will I receive for interior formatting?
Depending on your package, you will receive print-ready PDF files for print and reflowable EPUB files for eBooks, fully optimized for platforms like Amazon KDP, Apple Books, and Google Play.
What software do you use to design my book?
I use Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. No basic templates, just professional tools.
What happens if I encounter issues uploading the final files to KDP or another platform?
Your satisfaction and a successful publication are my top priorities! If you or your publishing platform encounter any technical issues, warnings, or formatting errors with the final files, I will gladly revise and adjust the layout to ensure they pass review smoothly.
Are your files guaranteed to pass platform quality checks?
Yes. By utilizing professional pre-press standards in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, your files are meticulously checked for proper bleed, margins, resolution, and color profiles (CMYK for print, RGB for eBook) to minimize any upload hiccups.
