About this gig
You don't need a studio session for a LinkedIn headshot. If you've got a photo taken against a wall at the office, on a phone, in whatever light was actually there, I can turn it into one that reads as a studio portrait, ready for LinkedIn, a company directory, a professional bio, or anywhere else a headshot gets used.
The background gets swapped, and the shadow, light direction, and color all get rebuilt to match. The final image reads as one continuous photograph, not a person pasted onto a backdrop. You can upload your own background if you have one in mind, choose from my library, or pick something from my own photography. If you don't have a specific look in mind, just describe what you're going for and I'll find or build the right setting.

Skin retouching is available separately as an add-on. If you send two different poses, I can also cut them into a short animated sequence in the same style as the gig video, as an add-on.

I edit and restore photographs, and build original color and pattern work across a range of media.
I've worked with Photoshop off and on since 1997, and in recent years that's turned into regular, hands-on retouching, compositing, and restoration work, recovering what's actually present in a photo rather than inventing plausible detail.
Color is where I do my strongest work, matching light and temperature across a composite, correcting a color cast in a decades-old print, catching a shift most people wouldn't notice.
Outside photo work, I design fabric patterns and hand-dye yarn.

FAQ
Does my photo need to be professionally lit?
No. Whatever light was actually there is exactly what this gig works with. If the original's too dark or too degraded to work with, I'll ask for a better shot before starting.
Will it look like it was actually shot in a studio?
The light, shadow, and color all get rebuilt around the new background specifically so it reads that way. That relighting is the core of what this gig sells.
Can I choose the background?
Yes, upload one you have, pick from my library, or use one of my own photographs. Not sure? Describe the look and I'll match it.
Do you also do skin retouching?
Available separately as an add-on.
Can I get an animated version like the gig video?
