What data do you need to start?
Turning movement counts, the intersection layout or a site map, and existing signal timings if available. If you don't have traffic counts, message me first and we can discuss options.
Should I use SIDRA or Vissim for my project?
SIDRA is best for quick, accurate analysis of single intersections and roundabouts. Vissim is better for corridors, complex junctions, interchanges and 3D videos. Tell me your goal and I'll recommend the right one.
Can you forecast future traffic conditions?
Yes. I can project traffic 10 to 20 years ahead using a growth rate you provide or one based on local data, and compare future conditions against the existing situation.
Can you test underpass or flyover options?
Yes. I can model grade-separated options in Vissim and compare them with the existing junction or an at-grade improvement using delay, speed and LOS results.
Will I receive the model files?
Yes. You'll get the SIDRA or Vissim project files along with the report. Let me know your software version so the files open on your computer.
Do you calibrate the Vissim model?
Calibration against observed travel times or queue lengths is included in the Premium package, and can be added to other packages as an extra.
