Web Accessibility Specialist WCAG 2 2 And EAA
About this Gig
Is your website ready for European accessibility requirements?
I audit websites against WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA and provide a clear, developer-ready report that can support EAA accessibility work.
The audit can cover:
- Keyboard navigation and focus
- Headings, landmarks, links and buttons
- Forms, labels, errors and status messages
- Images and text alternatives
- Colour contrast, zoom and reflow
- ARIA and accessibility-tree issues
- Automated checks plus manual review
- Screen-reader testing where included
Your report can include the affected page or element, WCAG criterion, severity, screenshot or evidence, user impact, recommended fix, and relevant EN 301 549 mapping.
This is a technical accessibility audit, not legal advice or a legal certification. EAA applicability depends on the service, business, Member State implementation, and any exemptions.

FAQ
What standards do you audit against?
I test the agreed website scope against WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA and can map relevant findings to EN 301 549 for European accessibility work.
Does your audit certify that my website is EAA compliant?
No. I provide a technical accessibility audit and remediation report, not legal advice or legal certification. Whether the EAA applies depends on your business, service, jurisdiction and any applicable exemptions.
Isn't WCAG 2.2 the EAA standard now?
EN 301 549 v4.1.1 was published in September 2026 and incorporates WCAG 2.2. However, AccessibleEU states that it has not yet been formally cited as the EAA legal reference in the EU Official Journal. AccessibleEU
Do you manually test the website?
Yes. The agreed package can include keyboard, focus, zoom, reflow, semantics, forms, contrast and other manual checks in addition to automated tools.
Do you use automated accessibility scanners?
Yes, where useful, but automated scans are only one part of the audit. Manual review is required for many accessibility issues.
What does the report include?
The report can include the affected page, component, screenshot/evidence, WCAG criterion, severity, user impact, recommended remediation and relevant EN 301 549 mapping.
Can you audit an ecommerce store?
Yes. Ecommerce sites are particularly relevant to EAA accessibility because the Directive specifically covers ecommerce services and accessible identification, security and payment functionality.
Do you audit Shopify, WordPress, Wix or custom websites?
Yes. The audit evaluates the rendered experience, although remediation recommendations may vary depending on the website platform.
Can you test checkout or login areas?
Yes. Provide a safe test account where necessary. Do not send production passwords or sensitive customer credentials.
Can you fix the problems afterward?
Remediation can be offered separately after the audit once the technology, issue count and scope are known.
