I will conduct a 60-90 minute counselling session with you to review your business and known intellectual property assets to help you determine your true needs and best strategies for protecting your IP. We will discuss patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret protection. We will discuss how to audit your intellectual property, and how to ensure that you have the necessary rights to the IP used on your web site, advertising, and other promotional materials.

As necessary, we can discuss typical costs for obtaining a patent, trademark registration and/or copyright registration. We can also discuss the cost of IP enforcement and cost of maintaining you IP protection going forward.

Further, we can discuss what protection strategies you can undertake yourself - without the need for expensive legal counsel - and more importantly, the protection strategies that you shouldn't try to do yourself. Sometimes we might think something is straightforward when it isn't. I can help you avoid the traps for the unwary.
