What is a research brief in this gig?
A sourced memo answering one business question from public data. I use company sites, public filings, government pages, reputable news, and free reports. I label estimates. This is not TAM SAM SOM or a competitor teardown; those are other gigs. You get a reusable desk note, not a syndicate report.
Do you use paid databases (IBISWorld, etc.)?
No. I use public sources: company sites, public filings, government stats, reputable news, and free industry notes. If a number or claim is an estimate, I label it. I will not invent a paid-database table I did not open. If you have a report I may use, attach it at checkout.
Is this a teardown or TAM SAM SOM?
No. A competitor teardown (offering, pricing, SWOT) is another gig. TAM SAM SOM and trends is another gig. This gig answers a research question from public sources: regulation, category facts, or landscape notes, not a sizing model. Order those other gigs if you need them, or ask for a custom offer.
Can you cover any topic?
Most legal consumer and B2B questions, yes. Tell me the question and country at checkout. I will not research illegal activity, unsourced medical claims, or private/non-public data. I will not write exam work. If the topic is a poor fit, I will say so before I start so we can cancel cleanly.
What do you need from me to start?
The question in one or two sentences, country or region, and the decision this is for (launch, vendor pick, internal note, other). Optional: public URLs or PDFs I must use. If those items are in the order requirements, I can start without extra messages.
What file do I receive?
A written brief: markdown, PDF, or both (you choose at checkout). Standard and Premium include a source log. Premium may include a simple facts table from public sources. I do not send slide decks unless you add the extra.
How do revisions work?
Revisions refine the same question, geography, and decision. Examples: clarify a source, add a URL you attach, tighten takeaways. A new topic, a competitor teardown, TAM SAM SOM, or a named-company diligence pack is a new order or a custom offer, not a revision.
Do you run surveys or interviews?
No. This is desk research from public sources. I do not recruit respondents, scrape private profiles, or sell lead lists. If you need primary research, this is the wrong gig. I will not pad a brief with survey results I did not collect.
