Hi! I'm Ryan, an Embedded Firmware & IoT Engineer with 4+ years of experience.
I build and fix ESP32, Arduino, STM32, and Raspberry Pi projects, from sensors, Wi-Fi, BLE, CAN, and Modbus to MQTT and IoT web dashboards for live data and remote control.

Worked as the firmware engineer on client hardware products. I understand and can build the hardware side too, so while developing firmware I found hardware bugs and proposed fixes to the hardware team. - Battery Management System (BMS) & Monitoring Web Platform: Delivered a complete BMS for an energy storage system, from MATLAB/Simulink modeling to embedded C firmware: SOC, SOH, cell balancing and protection. Built the monitoring web dashboard myself, self-hosted on a mini PC server and published through Cloudflare, with MQTT/HTTP data and OTA firmware updates. - Smart Locker System (STM32 & Raspberry Pi 4): Developed STM32 firmware for a modular smart locker, controlling 8 locks per board via shift registers for easy expansion. Built a PyQt touchscreen app on Raspberry Pi 4 connected to backend APIs for remote reservation and access control. - Shrimp Pond Water Analyzer (ESP32 & STM32): Developed firmware for an automated water analyzer that heats samples on preset temperature profiles and measures water quality by spectral light analysis. Programmed STM32 and ESP32 for heating control, temperature and light sensor reading, and connectivity.

Employed by Ban Vien Corporation and working full-time onsite at Renesas Design Vietnam Co., Ltd., on IP simulation models and automotive co-simulation platforms. IP Simulator Models & CI Automation Developed and validated C/C++ simulation models for Renesas IPs (ISP, IMR, DOF), including unit tests, static analysis and coverage checks. Built a fully automated Docker-based GitLab CI pipeline from build and testing to reports. Wrote Python and Bash scripts to automate testing, analysis and report generation. Created a web dashboard (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) so the team could view build, test and coverage results in the browser. Automotive Communication & Vehicle Co-Simulation Designed CAN and Ethernet communication between multiple simulated Renesas R-Car devices. Developed and reviewed code for MCAL applications.
