About this gig

VR bugs have specific causes. Grab jitter, physics instability, frame drops, interaction glitches, objects falling through floors. These are a known set of problems with known fixes. I've debugged all of them on my own commercial VR title shipping to Quest and PC VR and across two years as lead VR programmer at a professional studio.

You get a fix, a test, and a plain English writeup explaining what the problem was, why it happened and what was changed. No jargon, no surprises.

Examples of what I can help with:

  • Grab and interaction jitter or instability
  • Physics glitches, clipping and rigidbody issues
  • Frame rate drops and Quest performance problems
  • C# allocation issues, Update loop bloat, draw call spikes
  • XRIT or Meta Building Blocks interaction bugs
  • General VR specific Unity issues

Message me first if you are unsure which package fits. I will tell you honestly.

I’m a Unity VR developer in Dublin with six years experience in commercial games and enterprise tools. I’m shipping Hyperlane Highway, a solo VR roguelike where you lean to steer a hoverboard through neon tunnels, dual wield energy weapons, and build runs from a 40 card upgrade system. Every system, shader, model and line of code is my own. Previously a VR programmer at an indie studio and sole dev on an Intel training sim. I do programming, VR interaction, Shader Graph, VFX, diegetic UI and custom editor tooling. Remote only EU timezone. Other personal projects: https://ryandgames.carrd.co
