About this Gig
Writing comes naturally to some, but that doesn't always apply to reading our own work and spotting errors.
Sure, we can read through someone else's work and spot inconsistencies and areas for improvement, but doing the same with our own writing is a different ballgame altogether.
As a fellow author and editor, I know the struggle, and I'm here to help you spot and fix the little things and the big ones you can't see in your own work.
Whether you need a simple proofread and copy edit for correctness and clarity, line editing for better word choice, flow, and readability, or developmental editing for structural issues, cohesion, and narrative flow, I can do it all.
I'll also beta-read your work and provide detailed feedback with annotated notes from a reader's perspective, so you know what lands, what falls flat, and what you can cut.
Here's what you'll get:
- Professional, high-quality edits
- Complete visibility with tracked changes
- A ready-to-publish final version
- A detailed reader's report with annotated notes

FAQ
What’s the difference between proofreading, copy editing, line editing, and developmental editing?
Proofreading and copy editing focus on correctness and consistency, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. Line editing focuses on clarity, flow, pacing, rhythm, word choice, etc. Developmental editing focuses on structure, plot, character development, themes, narrative, storytelling, etc.
What’s included in a full developmental edit?
A full developmental edit improves the structure, plot, pacing, character arcs, themes, narrative flow, continuity, clarity, and overall storytelling. You’ll also receive detailed annotated notes and a reader’s report.
Do you rewrite or provide developmental editing as well?
Yes, but not as part of this gig. I offer substantive editing, developmental editing, and rewriting through separate gigs. Please check out my profile for these services.
Why are your prices so low?
I’m a professionally trained editor with 10+ years of experience editing and proofreading all kinds of content. I have full command of the English language and write and edit natively. However, I’m based outside the US, UK, etc., which enables me to offer my services at relatively low rates.
Do you proofread before delivery?
Yes. I proofread the final product multiple times before delivery to catch errors, awkward phrasing, and inconsistencies. I also offer unlimited revisions, so let me know if I missed anything or if anything needs further refinement.
Do you accept custom orders?
Yes, I accept custom orders. Please message your project requirements, and I’ll share a custom quote with you ASAP.
