Build ZensZoom, a multi-tenant live-classroom video platform, in a TypeScript monorepo: Next.js App Router frontend on Vercel and an async FastAPI backend (SQLAlchemy 2, asyncpg, Alembic) on AWS EC2. • Implemented real-time media over a LiveKit SFU with a dedicated WebSocket service, Egress-based session recording, and HLS playback. • Traced a silent recording failure to a webhook payload-shape mismatch: LiveKit egress events nest room data inside egressInfo rather than at the top level, so every recording event was being dropped and sessions were stuck in processing. • Own deployment across staging and production with Docker Compose, Caddy, and Terraform; integrated Stripe and PayFast billing and S3/Bunny storage.
