What info do you need to get started on migration?
Old Hosting Login: This is where your website is currently hosted. New Hosting Login: The credentials for the hosting where your website will be transferred. Domain Hosting Login: If your domain is hosted separately from your website, provide those login details. WordPress Login (Optional)
Is there anything else I should check before starting the transfer?
Yes, if your website uses SSL (HTTPS://), please ensure that the destination server also has SSL configured. Failing to do so may result in your website not being secured after the transfer. I can also purchase/install new SSL in your new hosting which has separate charges check the add-ons.
Are there any discounts available for this gig?
Yes, discounts are available if you need to migrate multiple websites (Message to discuss). Additionally, I offer a subscription service within this gig, granting a 5% discount on every order you place. This subscription is free to join, and the discount will apply starting from your second order.
Will my website experience downtime during migration or transfer?
In 99% of cases, your website will not experience any downtime. However, in certain instances, there might be a brief period of downtime. e.g. If the domain needs to be connected to new hosting then DNS takes some time to get updated. Rest assured, I will activate maintenance mode during this time
What types of server migration services do you offer?
I offer a range of server migration services, including WordPress migration from old hosting to new, migrating WordPress to a new domain, moving from local host to live web hosting, converting sub-domains to root domains, website cloning and backup, email account migration, SSL installation, and DNS
Can you handle large website migrations?
Yes, I have experience in handling migrations of all sizes, including large websites. I will ensure that your data remains intact and your website functions smoothly. If your website size is more than 10GB then you have to purchase an extra addon with the Premium Package for each GB.
What if I encounter issues after the migration is complete?
I offer post-migration support to address any issues or questions you may have. Please don't hesitate to reach out, and I will assist you promptly.
Will my email accounts be transferred as well?
If you've opted for the Premium Gig package, it covers the transfer of up to 5 email accounts, including all inbox data. If you have more than 5 accounts, additional add-ons are available for purchase within the gig.
Will my domain be transferred to the new hosting?
No, your domain will remain on the old hosting. If you wish to transfer your domain to the new hosting, please message me for a custom quote. It's important to note that the domain transfer process can take some time.
Is FTP access sufficient to transfer the entire website?
No, FTP access alone is not enough. I also require PHPMyAdmin/Database access to ensure a complete transfer of your WordPress website.
