What is the difference between n8n/Windmill and Zapier/Make?
Zapier and Make charge you per "task" or "operation", which becomes extremely expensive as your business scales. n8n and Windmill can be self-hosted or run much more efficiently, meaning you don't pay massive monthly subscription fees for your automation volume.
Do I need my own server to host n8n or Windmill?
You have two options. You can use their cloud versions, which are cheaper than Zapier. Or, for ultimate privacy and no execution limits, I can set up a self-hosted instance for you on DigitalOcean, AWS, or Hetzner.
Can you integrate an app if it doesn't have a native module?
Yes! As a Software Engineer, this is my specialty. If the app has an open API, I write custom HTTP requests or Python scripts inside the workflow to connect it seamlessly, even without a native module.
